This whole conversation is great example of why we need diversity in our leadership. There are issues related to race that were brought to the forefront when a black man stood behind the seal of the president and said that Trayvon Martin could have been his son.

Last night, CNN had a panel discussing sexual assault before the debate and a debate moderator said in no uncertain terms that saying and doing certain things is unacceptable. When Hillary wins this election, there will be new conversations brought up in the national debate that we need to have and that would not be brought up under another white male administration.

Diversity of perspective and ideas is a necessary requirement for the future of our country. Welcoming people of color, women, LGBT voices and people of every other possible stripe into the discussions about how we run this country is vitally important to ensure that our laws are fair and promote the general welfare of all.
