This has been in my mind a lot relating to all of the online activism and trolling that’s going on. Satire has a place, but it’s incredibly difficult to do well and limited in its reach. Regular people are much better served by calling their congressperson or volunteering with a local political group to knock on doors than they are by tweeting a dank meme mocking a politician.
