I really like your first two steps. I’ve started waking up a half hour earlier just to write. I’ll jot down thoughts over the course of the day, and when I wake up, I dedicate 30 minutes to sitting in front of a screen and putting words down. Some mornings, there’s something burning in my mind. Some days, I have to go to the list. Some days, what I write is decent. Other days, it’s pretty terrible.

But getting over that hurdle to just start and begin getting the words out has always been the hardest part.
