A great list of recommendations. There are serious conversations coming soon about end of life care and the nature of work. Longer life spans and advancing technology are rendering a lot of the current systems untenable in the long term.

I bristle a little at the idea of forgoing grad school almost automatically, but you’re not wrong. The reputation of your school, the level of actual experience it provides, the job potential of the industry and the cost of the program all have to be carefully weighed. I was able to finish a Master’s with no debt and have had my salary double in the first 3 years after graduating. But I went to a state school, took on no debt and am working in my field. $20K of debt for an online degree in English Literature would be a different story.
